Breastfeeding and Infant Feeding Support

Truc Nguyen, LEC and Lactation Consultant Candidate

Truc Nguyen is a health professional with over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, bringing a strong foundation in advocacy, communication, and client- centred support to her work in lactation and infant feeding support. She is a Certified Lactation Educator currently working toward her IBCLC. Her passion for lactation support grew from her own breastfeeding journey, where she experienced firsthand the value of compassionate, knowledgeable care. Truc previously served on the Executive Committee of the Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative and is a volunteer with Breastfeeding Connection with Halton. She is also a proud mom of two girls, whom she breastfed and bottle-fed.

Lana Joy Wahlquist, Lead Birth Doula, Certified Lactation Educator

Our Certified Lactation Educator (CLE), Lana, provides compassionate, hands-on support for new parents navigating the early days of feeding. In this session, she will:

Offer guidance on latch and positioning to help you and your baby feel more comfortable. Support you in exploring feeding rhythms and techniques that work for your family. Answer common questions around pumping, milk storage, and supplementing if needed. Provide reassurance, encouragement, and practical tools to build your confidence.

This visit is ideal for parents seeking education, troubleshooting, and encouragement in the early days, whether you are breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or finding your own combination.

Note: Clinical concerns such as tongue tie, weight gain issues, or supply problems will be referred to an IBCLC for assessment.

Please note: Lana is also a practicing birth doula and actively attends births. From time to time, appointments may need to be rescheduled.
